Being a full time mom doesn’t leave much “me” time. I spend my days as a Houston content creator on A Renaissance Woman and freelancing as an Interactive Content Consultant. I’m also chauffeur to three busy kids. Boy Genius arrived in September 2000 (remember the Y2K scare?). He asked for a new baby brother and Mr. T-Rex joined us in August 2006. All boys and no girl? Silly wasn’t going to let that happen and in August 2008 she began ruling their kingdom.
To help me keep up with all these kids I try to add some sort of fitness into my daily routine. My favorite is Crossfit. I lift heavy stuff to de-stress. Now that’s modern! My strength coach takes horrible photos of me sweating, with a grunt face, or lying on the gym floor trying to breathe! When I break a sweat that is how I center myself. Some people do it with meditating but my choice is movement. It doesn’t have to be Crossfit it could be running, Zumba, Taebo, Yoga it doesn’t matter as long as I’m moving.
I am motivated to inspire a healthier lifestyle through fitness, from personal care to financial peace for your family. Along the way, I’ll give provide useful how-to tips for working online, entrepreneurship and paying it forward to help others. And we’ll share a good laugh or two along the way.
*Editors Note: Silly and T-Rex chose the photo frames. I apologize if they blind you. However, because they helped design these I must keep them, it’s part of the code in “The Parenthood.”
