Being a full time mom doesn’t leave much “me” time. Most days I’m working online as a content creator or freelancing as a Web Producer. I’m also chauffeur to three busy kids. Boy Genius arrived in September 2000 (remember the Y2K scare?). He asked for a new baby brother and Mr. T-Rex joined us in August 2006. All boys and no girl? Silly wasn’t going to let that happen and in August 2008 she began ruling their kingdom. Read more in “The Parenthood.”
To help me keep up with all these kids I try to add some sort of fitness into my daily routine. My favorite is Crossfit. I lift heavy stuff to de-stress or go for a long run. Now that’s modern! My strength coach takes horrible photos of me sweating, with a grunt face, or lying on the gym floor trying to breathe! When I break a sweat that is how I center myself. Some people do it with meditating but my choice is movement. It doesn’t have to be Crossfit it could be running, Zumba, Taebo, Yoga it doesn’t matter as long as I’m moving.
