Oh Facebook!

Like, Comment, Share, Promote? Welcome to my Tuesday Tips! Today I’m going to show you a Facebook tip. First let me update you on the latest changes. There is a new “Promote” button on facebook. They have been toying with it lately because some days I will see it as a last option in the list and some times they will swap places with the “share” button. Some days the option will disappear all together. The cost to promote your post so all your friends and fans will know how important that post is? $7.00! The buzz surrounding this option is not positive.

What you will notice is all those Fan Pages that you liked in the beginning are now only showing up in your news feed every once in a while or when Facebook wants it to show up. You aren’t necessarily getting all the latest updates from your favorite Fan Pages. You would have to physically go to their Fan Page to see the latest information. Did you know that? For those of us Fan Page owners this is a big issue. I might have over 200 fans put only a small percentage of them will see what I post on my wall.

How can you fix this problem? I’m glad you asked! It’s really simple and it will help you get organized in the process.

First you are going to look for the image of the gear while you are on the page that you would like to see in your Facebook feed. Select that option and in the pull down menu select Add to Interest Lists.Facebook Tip
From here you can begin selecting which Fan Pages, People or Interests that you would like to add. It’s as easy as clicking your mouse! Make sure you ad my Fan Page too. I would hate for you to miss out on my awesome updates.Select your favorite pages and people for Facebook

The next screen gives you the option to see every page you have added to your list and now you get to give it a name. The other option is to decide if you want your list to be public, friends only or for your eyes only. Click done and that’s it! Name your interest listYou can create more lists if you like.

I’m not sure if there is a limit to how many can be created. If you have any questions or suggestions that you would like to see please leave them in the comment section below. For more of my How To Tips <—-click here!  something for a Tuesday Tip please leave it in the comments below.
