There was a lot of talk last night on my Facebook feed about Miley Cyrus but with the key stroke of a Google search it became clear. There seemed to be outrage across the board. While watching the video all I felt was sadness for this poor girl. The effort to get some shock value was really important to her. It made me wonder if my own disgust and shock meant that I’m just getting old? It’s possible.
There is a lot of backlash about her character, behavior, dress, singing etc., there is a huge list. While she is being called every derogatory name you can think of, it had me wondering is this a double standard?
Blurred Lines is Right!
I’m saying Miley Cyrus is 20 years old. There are so many negative comments about her parents and how she was raised floating around on social media. You must be kidding me! She is 20 and she has now gone down in history for this performance. The sad thing is some other poor girl will come along later on and want to top it.
Why isn’t anyone looking at Robin Thicke? Why isn’t anyone questioning his character? I might be the lone wolf on this one and I’m ok with that but I can assure that I am questioning his judgment.
I get there is the Blurred Lines video that is clean (if you can call it that) and a more x-rated version. Got it.
This is a live performance though and it’s on a cable network. Does that mean anything goes? There are rehearsals so it’s not like he didn’t have some idea and if Miley wanted to go all rogue on him then why not use some judgement!
If you watch the video Miley is bent over before he comes up behind her. He didn’t have to do that at all.
He’s 36 years old which would mean has more experience and maturity than Miley. He’s married and a father and he gets to write that off as entertainment? Really?
Leave your thoughts!
Update: His wife is cool with it all. “Paula Patton doesn’t mind…” and you there you have it ….. read more here.
