Having a coach is great but some times you can hear coach quotes in your sleep. When we were working on our lifts this week at Galveston Crossfit Tidal Wave all I could hear over and over was my coach saying, “Do it light, do it right!” There are many of us that lift without good form.
It’s great to go back to basics and break it all down step by step.
A while back one of my main concerns when doing crossfit was to lift heavier and heavier. That isn’t a bad goal but when your form begins to fail and your body is compensating that can get you into real trouble. Crossfit has always been a humbling experience. We have always maintained a very love/hate relationship but I keep returning. Only this time I’m paying more attention to my coach and I don’t have any shame going light to do it right. More so after our awesome Olympic lifting workshop we just finished tonight.
My eating had been great but I went to a bridal shower on Saturday after a workout which was poor planning on my part. I’m heavily riding the smoothy train. I’m increasing my runs this past week too. There is a July 4th run that I’m training for. What about you? Any races coming up? Do you have any coach quotes to share?
Logged on my new challenge for June!
