Before and After a Nine Year Difference

A Renaissance Woman and Boy Genius

The challenge is a before and after photo which is what I chose from the 5 writing prompts from Mama Kat. I’m combining her writer’s work shop with a Wordless Wednesday. It doesn’t really make any sense to call it Wordless Wednesday because with the SEO standards and all the algorithms we have to have words. In case you were wondering about that, now you know!

5.) Find a photo of yourself taken 10 years ago and display it on your blog along with a current photo. How have you changed since the day that photo was taken?

I could not find a photo from ten years ago. The closest I could get was nine years ago because it is very rare to find a photo of me. How have I changed? Obviously I am aging. There is the usual list of more gray hair, wrinkles and more weight. This is funny to me because I thought I was heavy back then. HAH! This photo is of me and my oldest son at a Navy football game. He and I were extremely close! He sat in my lap the entire game and then passed out in my arms. Hard to cheer when you have  a sleeping boy on you. Now that he is older he’s much closer to his father. They have a lot more things in common and more opportunities to hang out together. Of course it doesn’t help that the two smaller children are stuck to me like glue like he use to be. It sort of freaks me out how much older he looks. I know what this means. It won’t be long before he is out of the house and on to bigger adventures. He’s going to see the world. He’s going to do great things and send us post cards.

The weird thing is that I’m much more comfortable with myself now than I was ten years ago. I’m stronger, more confident and I have learned so much about myself,  finances and am constantly learning new things. In the online world you have to learn to keep up. A lot of my relationships have changed. Some of gotten stronger and others I have had to let go. It’s been an interesting ride. Thanks for joining on my trip down memory lane.

Wow…I cannot believe you don’t have any comments because you guys look great!! Divorce is tough but some times necessary. If not for my divorce I would not met and married my very wonderful husband of 30 years. Keep the faith!! Happy WW! :-)

NO! We aren’t divorced. We are still married. Our son is just growing up and they hang out together. Thank you for stopping by and I appreciate the compliment.

I think you look younger now! :) Must be because you’re more comfortable with yourself, eh? :) Your son is going to be a heart breaker – what a cutie! :)

    • pamelamkramer

Are you sure? lol – Can you remind me of that, daily?

  • Angie@TheLittleMumma

You haven’t changed much at all but kids, well, they grow like weeds, don’t they? It’s a blink or you’ll miss it ride, this motherhood gig. I am hanging on for dear life and trying to ignore what the rollercoaster has done to my youthful good looks! 😉
