I have a 3 lb. gain. I'm not surprised considering the last 3 days. On Friday morning I weighed in and had a 4 pound loss from the week before. I was super excited! And then....
Stress Level -
Saturday morning I went to two different boot camps. I worked really hard and I was so disgusting with sweat. My husband and I have been talking about replacing a few tiles in our shower. He told me that while I was gone he was going to go to Lowes and look at tiles. When I got home from my 2 hour work out I found that he had already started demolishing the bathroom. Meanwhile all I wanted to do was take a shower. To make a very long story short this triggered my stress button and I went for the ice cream first. One junk food led to another and I even went to the store to get a couple of cokes which would be like drinking a beer for others. I kept indulging through the evening. I woke up the next day and figured ok that was my super cheat day and let's move on. Then I would go into the bathroom and it just kept getting worse and worse. The more I thought about it the more stressed out I got. The money, the time, how to repair it all, who to call and the list goes on and on. My stomach just began to hurt and it still hurts right now as I'm writing this post. Instead of turning to ice cream I wish I would have headed back out the door and went for another run. Something! It would have had a better turn out.
The UP side -
The How to Train a Spartan series is going well with only 26 days left to train. This Saturday I have a Fallen Heroes 5K to run.
I'm looking forward to reading how the rest of my "sistas" did this week.
And this is a little inspiration for all of this week!

Big hugs! Good luck on getting ready for your race! thats exciting!
Redos can be stressfull, but take a DEEEP breath and it will be better. We have done alot to our house ourselves. It can be done just give it time and if you can help out with it, it can be rewarding and also a bit of a stress releif when you get to tear something apart or smash it up!
Stress will do that to ya! I am glad you realized what went wrong and maybe next time you can figure out how to handle it, other than running to food! Have a better , less stressful week this week!
Reno's are bitey. Sometimes it's almost easier to just sell the house LOL! You'll get back on track. You're doing so much already. Bad day done, good days ahead :)
Wow - stress eater much? It's funny to me just because I am too. Step 1 - we realize we do this. Step 2 - we figure out other ways to cope (like you said, go for a run, leave the house, go for a walk, run up and down the stairs, eat a banana ha ha).
I'm guessing your husband was wishing he had waited. Ha.
Looked at the spartan training. Man I want to do that next year. Have to get my shoulder perfect though. There seem to be a lot of things that if I did now I would be in a lot of pain. Did they time your mile? Interested in what it is!
AND decided what to spend the 50 bucks on! I'm going to put it toward a Garmin for my running and biking training. I need to get more serious. I mean, my 5K was freaking 38 minutes. I'd be on that spartan course until sundown!! Thanks again for picking my name! Funny!
Would love to hear more about the training for the spartan race!
Like Kimberly said, realizing what you are doing and thinking about what you would do differently is a big step. I'm a mindless emotional eater, Ben & Jerry's is my weapon of choice.
Thanks for the awesome tools, I'm gonna check them out. Best of luck to you this week!
Good luck at your 5k next week! Love the music choice! Have a super week :)
You're gonna get up and keep going like this never happened. Cause you WILL lose this weight. XXOO
Stress is my downfall too! I can totally appreciate how stressful it is when a redo project is in the midst! Hang in there and know that you are AWESOME!
Sorry you had a rough week. But, the good thing is that it's over, and at least you know what the trigger was.
Hope you have a better week. Hang in there!
Crazy! I'm an emotional eater too, it stinks. I'm glad that you picked yourself back up and didn't let it ruin your week though, way to go! I hope all that business gets fixed up soon so you don't have the stress eating away at you. I completely understand how that feels.
You are doing AWESOME with your How to Train a Spartan series! Good luck at your 5k this weekend!
